Global communication for the Chadian Special Fund for the Environment

Scope

Hopscotch Africa is working with the Special Fund for Chadian Environment in its awareness-raising activities for the Chadian population in environmental protection as well as communicating about its activities to international audiences.

 

 

 

Stratégie

• Communicating and ensuring media coverage for international activities
• Identifying pan-African and international media and managing press relations
• Drawing up messages to be conveyed to the general public in Chad
• Developing awareness-raising tools: TV and radio clips, brochures
• Using crowdfunding platforms to fund projects
• Providing support during events such as the Lille World Forum and during a presentation at the 2014 Meet.ING for engineers in October, 2014.

 

 

 

 

Results

Concurrent to the ongoing roll-out of the communication tools produced, the media relations action and support to the Director General, in particular in October, 2014 in Paris and Lille helped bring visibility to ESF activities and raise awareness in international institutions about the key environmental issues in Chad, in the lead-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris, December, 2015.
